More Interesting Math Jewelry
art
A reply to Annie Perkins’s golden spiral math art challenge, and a first hint of the Apollonian jewelry to come.
This post was originally a Twitter thread. It started when Annie Perkins shared #MathArtChallenge Day 26: Golden Spiral. I replied that it could be turned into wearable art, and she pointed out that golden spiral jewelry is decidedly available. The Apollonian jewelry followed in Designing Apollonian Earrings and An Apollonian Necklace.
@anniek_p I try to create more interesting jewelry. Like these discrete dynamical systems. https://hanusadesign.com/products/cobweb-earrings-metal
I have been developing some Apollonian jewelry. I’d been wanting to do so for a long time and the code shared by one of the #mathartchallenge responses allowed me to develop it. I’ll share it soon.
